Persuasive and velvety
The Albana Passito of Tenuta del Gelso is a naturally sweet white, of extraordinary intensity, which brings together the popular Romagna tradition of dessert wines and leads it towards an interesting evolution of great value and structure. Thanks to a vast range of aromas and flavours, combined with the typical softness of the vine, it lends itself to tasting even outside the meal.
During the harvest, the grapes are selected by hand and collected in 3 kg boxes in the early hours of the morning. The withering takes place in a controlled microclimate loft for 30-35 days. The gentle pressing of the grapes is followed by a vinification process at 20°C in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with frequent bâtonnage.
