Tenuta del Gelso's Albana Secco is a balanced and elegant wine, which stands out in freshness and slowly fades into floral scents, to then evolve into yellow fruit.

The vinification involves the soft pressing of the destemmed grapes, with cold maceration for 12 hours. The aging takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with frequent bâtonnage.


Tasting notes

 

Straw yellow with golden reflections.


The nose has a large and complex bouquet, which varies from notes of pear and apricot to tropical hints of banana and pineapple.


On the palate it shows great complexity and softness with a pleasant and persistent aftertaste.


Food pairings

Ideal:
all fish and shellfish dishes: appetizers, starters, main courses, including carpaccio, soups, grilled and fried dishes.

Interesting:
light hors d'oeuvres and soups, vegetables and legumes, white meats, savory pies, fresh cheeses.

To try:
tarts, strudels, cheesecakes, coffee desserts and dried fruit compôte.
